Where She Is?

Goodness only knows some days! However, Sweetie can be found in Northern Alabama most days, working from home as a Success Strategist/Speaker and Advocate. She may be homeschooling her youngest, baking in the kitchen, attending her son's sports events, emailing her college boy or walking in the neighborhood with Madison and one or more of Madison's four dogs. Up to six dates a month you may find her speaking publically as an advocate for and resource for the needs of the Stepfamily or working with learner issues in the public schools. She loves to share with groups, churches, and organizations the importance of recognizing the needs of children and adults who are living together as stepfamilies.

As a wife, exwife, stepmom and mother living in her seventh year of a blended family, she has first hand insights into the needs, complications and success strategies for helping our step and blended families thrive. An advocate for their needs, she loves to work with church and organizational leadership facilitating awareness of special needs of inclusion for these ever increasing groups.

She is also a Master level teacher experienced in providing facilitation and training on effective teaching methods, learners with specialized learning needs in the school and community. Where she will not usually be found is anywhere near Mt. Washmore which is ever growing in the laundry room at her home! You can usually find her by following the Dirty Dishes Mountain Chain and turn to the right to find the visitor's area of Mt. Washmore near her kitchen.

If you or your group would like to contact Sweetie to speak or provide training for your organization or special event with her light hearted, effective, humorous style of sharing serious issues, please send an email to:

and Sweetie will contact you for your specific dates and times. Please include your contact name, phone, date desired for program, and a description of the audience expected. Thank you so much for thinking of Sweetie!
