Gloria Hallelujah!

When I grow up I want to be like the Gloria's I have known. Beautiful, efficient, kind hearted, hard workers, humble....the Gloria's in my life seem to come from the same God made production line. They shine like a beacon of light and goodness to those of us messy girls....gently shaping other's lives in their obedience in quiet ways that always make me want to emulate them.
My first Gloria was a school secretary....always working...always a smile for anyone who came into contact with her. Loving the Lord was a daily exercise and part of her life and she loved on us others too....every.moment. in.her.presence. Even on the tough days, a quick smile and comforting hug were available.
My newest Gloria makes me smile simply to see her. God has created her in such majesty of humility and joy that I hope someday God allows me to grow into gracious as she has. Thoughtful, mindful, real.....transparency is beautiful in a Christian's heart.
Meanwhile God made me who I am too, loud, excitable, wildly scooting into Bible study some days, boisterously sharing and often graceless.....I try so hard to not be as loud and as exciteable as I am, yet it is who I am....just as I cannot sit quietly and offer no help if its something God whispers me to do....or avoid a big mud puddle if there's any chance I can splash and get away with it....God made me bold....and even in my mistakes....my boldness shows. Thankfully God laughs at me often and allows my broken heart to come back to Him when I boldly went in some other direction.
God made all of us just who we are....and as He shapes us and we become obedient to His potter's hand.....our obedience a part of God's plan for us to need him....we are all growing into lovely at the hand of the Father.

In Him,
Sweetie
