Home again home again

Dad, Daughter , The Original Parents

It is a good thing when you pull in after a long weekend's drive to know that your own bed awaits you. The wedding weekend was good, we were happy to see family and friends in Arkansas and Oklahoma. The wedding itself went off well and the bride was happy with the results. Our time together as a family was precious while we were there, and I was reminded once more of how blessed I am that we are a we as a family.
One of the highlights for me personally was knowing that the bride's mother and I truly do get along. Together we were in the bride's room helping Kimmy get ready. Together we did each other's "fix ups", Together we sat as our child walked down the aisle, together we had pictures with our children and recognized that we indeed raised them all together, even if they lived in my home for their teenage years.....Our older two children are her children biologically, mine by marriage, but we know that it took all of us to raise our family and while very different, we all have our children's best interests in mind....and I know I am thankful for my husband's ex wife...for she has chosen, as I have with my ex husband....to set aside the difficulties of a complex relationship and choose to love and raise these children together....as best we can seperately. She did a GREAT job of being the mom of the bride!
Step Mom and Mom together!

God is good, and His love overcomes all!

Thanks for the phone call...so many things you just "happened to say" in passing are rolling around in my head! You are a blessing.

BTW the link doesn't work because I deleted that post. Thought I was making a "page" not a post...argh. Well, it will all be good by tomorrow....

You BETTER not be up reading this or I'll tell Les.
