Running hard, wearing out....

The last few weeks have been amazingly busy. I went from being a work at home mum/step mum, to a really working at hard stepmum mode to building a huge website to support step and blended families while working on everything else wife, mum, and step mum.
Our daughter got married last weekend, spring has sprung, and life has changed. You know in a step or blended family, life does change...regularly and consistently...and the best way to do that is to recognize from the beginning of a new family's life that it IS a change for everyone.
Ron Deal has an new article in Lifeway's magazine this month about learning to deal with accepting discontent in a step family. We have learned that lesson as a family, that there are simply some things folks have to have time to heal from, to adjust to, and to learn to deal with. Changing towns is hard enough when a family moves, but if you add a new mom or dad, step mom or step dad...AND school....AND friends.....AND lifestyles....its not an instant family, just add water mix.
Growing into lovely for me has meant that I realize that what bothers me may not bother others. What bothers them may not bother me at all.....we are all different in how we deal with and accept change and that's exactly the way God made us!

God is good!
